PGUK attended and supported the Children’s North East Charity event in Newcastle Friday 3rd July.
The charity helps over 5,000 children and young people from the North East who are living in poverty or whose lives are disadvantaged because of family misfortune – divorce or separation, redundancy, long-term unemployment, victim of crime, imprisonment, long term ill health, depression or post traumatic stress. The funding helps to feed the homeless youngsters, pay for school uniforms, take them on picnics and other excursions, run a Saturday club during school holidays and many other activities.
Gary Addison from PGUK, who supported the event on behalf of the company, commented,
“On the evening over £2,500 was raised by those individuals who attended, it is fabulous cause and judging by the feedback from the organisers. The money raised on the evening will go a long way to putting a smile on the faces for those children and youngsters who are less fortunate than we are”.
The event was attended by many businesses leaders throughout the region, including banks, Insolvency Practitioners, Accountants and more.
